1. 2002-2005 SELMA – "Spatial Deconcentration of Economic Land Use and Quality of Life in European Metropolitan Areas"The transformation of ownership relations after 1990 and the revival of real estate market have been mirrored into the changes of physical and social spatial urban structure. Authors of this project think of social environment as a complex of characteristics of social spatial structure and social climate. While, much attention was paid to investigation of social spatial structure, social climate from the geographical perspective. 2. 2007-2011 "Suburban development, Suburbanization and Urban Sprawl in the Czech Republic: Tackling the Negative Impacts on the Environment ". The project aims to assess current spatial extent and intensity of the process of suburbanization in the Czech cities and municipalities. Further, attention is paid to quantification of predominantly negative consequences of suburbanization from the point of view of sustainable development of landscape and society.
