    2. Łaźnia Nowa Theatre in Nowa Huta – the youngest city theatre in Kraków was established on 1 January 2005. Formerly the activity of the theatre was marked by the few years’ history of the Theatrical Association ‘Łaźnia’ in Kraków Kazimierz, where Łaźnia Nowa originated from. The theatre is targeting its offer at mainly Nowa Huta residents and projects are to contribute to the district revitalization. After moving to Nowa Huta the director Bartosz Szydłowski first organized a happening in the Avenue of Roses (2004) and invited residents to it. The theatre supports activities of independent groups and inventive projects, presents the works of Nowa Huta.

    4. The premises of the ‘Łaźnia Nowa’ Theatre are the former school workshops of the Secondary Technical School of Mechanics. During the socialism period it was one of the most popular and important school in Nowa Huta. Its educational offer, among others was a response to the needs of the metallurgical plant. The Łaźnia Nowa Theatre building is located in the middle of Szkolne Housing Estate in the oldest part of the district.

    8. Łaźnia Nowa Theatre programme is based on the programme exchange with European partners, co-production, original projects and cooperation with local community. These undertakings combine artistic and social activity – in post-industrial bays performances, festivals and concerts are organized as well as exhibitions, film and multimedia shows, meetings and workshops. Łaźnia Nowa projects are also staged outside the theatre building – in the streets, yards and high-rise housing estates of Nowa Huta.
