    1. Improved support for the development of small business operators in the area of blocks of flats.

      In 2011 LUI listed 61 start-ups (27 still in incubation phase), 24 of them present in foreign markets ranging from China to South America, only 3 out of business. The start-ups within LUI employed 333 people in 2011 and were successfully competing both for business investments and public grants. Total generated income in 2011 amounts to EUR 317,000 (69,000 EUR from services sold in the market place; 154,000 EUR from the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Entrepreneurship and Innovation; 45,000 EUR were won on public tenders and 49,000 EUR generated from rents paid by incubated companies.


    The Ljubljana University Incubator (LUI) was established by the University of Ljubljana in 2004. LUI and the University of Ljubljana collaborate through coordinators – professors at different faculties and academies operating in the University of Ljubljana framework. At present LUI is aiming to become an internationally acclaimed university incubator serving as the best platform to newly established enterprises when entering the business arena.
