    II. TYPOLOGY

      This association, operating for more then 50 years now is one of the exemplary housing associations in Poland. Among its assets it also possesses commercial objects and a market place. These objects are managed by the Association (renovations, repairs, investments). The management takes care not only of the property entrusted with them but also undertakes operations related to new housing and service investments. Preparations for a long-run program of green area reclamation involving architectural details are under way. Recently the management undertook activities connected with the preparation of applications for the project subsidized from the European Union resources entitled “Revitalisation of towns and degraded town areas” within Lubelskie Province RPO. This association is also a business organization: it employs 224 people. The LSM managing strategy is based on planning, designing and reliable implementation of undertaken plans. These undertakings are supported by the drawn up and implemented in 2002 and still maintained quality management system in conformity with ISO 9001-2000 standard which helps in determining specific purposes and guarantees their implementation.

    III. SUPPLEMENT

    It takes up about 120 ha of land, 65 ha of which is green area. On the day 31 December 2007 the whole assets are: 13.010 flats in 207 residential buildings, 1295 garages and motorcycle boxes and 409 business establishments. LSM also possesses detached trading and service pavilions, LSM Community Centre, Senior Citizen Home, and market place at 21 Wileńska street. They perform each in their own scope, certain functions for the benefit of residents.
