    III. DESCRIPTION
    1. What forms of cooperation were used as new approaches in the field of rehabilitation and conversion of urban functional areas?
    2. In socialist era, between 1975 ans 1980, the Rimava sanatorium was built here,with internal rehabilitation pools, physiotherapy, baths, surgery and dining room. In 1996, they renovated the entire accommodation capacities, spa park, and the area adjacent to Rimava sanatorium has been changed into a waterworld with four outdoor swimming pools. Rimava sanatorium, a former socialist building, has now 72 rooms with 138 beds. There are as well traditional family suites with satellite TV, Internet and telephone. On site there is a modern gym, sauna, fitness center, table tennis, bowling, badminton and tennis court, hippodrome.

    4. The reconstruction of Rimava sanatorium was identical with the positive elements that were a part of the treatment and relaxing therapy at the time of socialism. In addition to the reconstruction of the building and its interior, the waterworld wuth four outdoor pools was bulit there too.

    6. (Criteria of innovativeness and inspirativeness were applied, which were based on real need and demand for improvement of health and relaxation services and demand for recreational activities. The criterion of sustainability was applied as well,because we assume that the demand for services provided will still be growing.

    7. Was the building or space between buildings) important to local communities and how were they involved in decision-making process about its rehabilitation or conversion?
    8. The project is important for the local community especially due to positive development of tourism and employment opportunities for local community.

    10. Rimava sanatorium and the waterworld are an integral part of the village.Thanks to the development of tourism, the village of Číž is prosperous. There are no differences between the parts of the village.

    12. The reconstruction of Rimava sanatorium and building of the waterworld resulted in higher quality of health and relaxation services provided, not only for the local community but also for people from all over Slovakia and for people from neighbour countries, especially Hungary.

    IV. SUPPLEMENT

    There are more than 6 000 people living in Dědina block of flats. The whole revitalization 3 -phases -process took 4 years and the total cost of the project was 11 200 000 EUR. It is one of the first completely reconstructed block of flats as far as the public spaces in Prague are concerned.
