    2. After building one superstructure (an upward extension), the building now has one underground and four overground floors. The building of Social Services architecturally fits into the overall structure of the entire area. A nursing care facility is equipped with the latest equipment – electric adjustable beds, electric equipment that allows the standing up and the use of toilet, modern signalling equipment for a better communication between clients and staff.

    4. Socialist building was reconstructed into a new external appearance. The interior of the building has also undergone a renovation following the socialist heritage.

    6. During the reconstruction of the building, there was the criteria of innovativeness of the object applied in the first place, whether in terms of the exterior – the external appearance of the building, or in terms of interior. The criterion of innovativeness was subject to the need of modernization and availability of services to the public in the renovated building. The criterion of innovativeness is related to the criterion of sustainability which is requirement for a higher lifestyle and sustainable development.

    8. The project is important for the local community especially in terms of providing public services to people in the region and their families. The local community was involved in the project through their elected representatives, who helped to approbate the financial means for the realization of the project.

    There are more than 6 000 people living in Dědina block of flats. The whole revitalization 3 -phases -process took 4 years and the total cost of the project was 11 200 000 EUR. It is one of the first completely reconstructed block of flats as far as the public spaces in Prague are concerned.
