    III. DESCRIPTION
    1. What forms of cooperation were used as new approaches in the field of rehabilitation and conversion of urban functional areas?
    2. Completion and reconstruction of building used mainly for administrative purposes form a part of residential buildings, located on the corner of one of town´s intersections. It consists of two buildings that are interconnected: there is an existing renovated building that was built back in the socialist period, and a new one. Composition solution maintains the dominance of the existing building, cleans it from inappropriate construction interventions and restores its original shape.

    4. he building was erected in the socialist era for the needs of the railway police. Nowadays, the renovated building identifies itself with the socialist legacy and the purpose which it was built for.

    6. In the first place, it was the criterion of innovativeness – aesthetic appearance of the building that provils services to citizens. The principle of efficiency lies in the fact, that now the services are provided more effectively in the modernized environment and the need of service providing in the future maintains the principle of sustainability.

    7. Was the building or space between buildings) important to local communities and how were they involved in decision-making process about its rehabilitation or conversion?
    8. The reconstruction of the Railway Police Bureau building is beneficial for local community, because thanks to its modernization and accessibility it helps to provide more quality services to the citizens.

    9. Were attempts made to improve territorial cohesion within the city/town/district? And, if so, how was success on this front gauged?
    10. The building is located on the corner of one of town´s intersections. This location is a prerequisite for unifying the territorial integrity of the own.

    IV. SUPPLEMENT

    There are more than 6 000 people living in Dědina block of flats. The whole revitalization 3 -phases -process took 4 years and the total cost of the project was 11 200 000 EUR. It is one of the first completely reconstructed block of flats as far as the public spaces in Prague are concerned.
