    II. TYPOLOGY
    1. Improved provision of local cultural and social events.

The objective of this initiative was the revitalization and enlargement of the park which is situated in the centre of Prague 11 Metropolitan district close to the place called "Chodov´s fortress". The original park was extended from 2 hectare to 7 hectare. The main aim of its extension was to build a brand new green area for various leisure time activities and to provide the inhabitants with the possibility of spending their visit on the adjacent green field and lawns. It also strives to offer the local inhabitants a comprehensive park area( first of its kind in the district), an unifying place where they can rest, meet, discuss and exchange their opinions. A children´s playground (600 m2) and a space for fitness equipped with exercising machines was created. Visitors can also make use of newly built pedestrian walking routes and walk their dogs there. Throughout the entire territory of the park leads new spinal road which is designed for in-line skaters and bikers. Central area of the park creates a little square which serves as meeting point for the visitors of the park.

    III. SUPPLEMENT

Original area of the park was extended from 2 hectares to 7 hectares. Previously unmodified area was extended by 2 playgrounds, maze, ring circuit across the terrain undulations, mounds, which functionally and aesthetically separates the park from the busy traffic of adjacent roads. Asphalt pavement is used by pedestrian and sportsman (roller skaters, bikers). To improve the environment a total of 218 trees and 1640 shrubs were planted and an irrigation system was built. The park is also equipped with low wall seats, stone design elements, 48 benches and 13 litter bins. The park has significantly contributed to the spread of green vegetation in the area and to the improvement of the environment negatively affected by nearby crossroad. The implementation of this initiative has considerably helped to valuable use of of leisure time activities for children of different ages.
