    II. TYPOLOGY
    1. Improved support for the development of small business operators in the area of blocks of flats.

The Slovenia Coworking project focus is on (1) improved infrastructural conditions and (2) establishment of a community of talented professionals who work independently to foster development of project and business ideas in the fields of creative industries and social entrepreneurship.

    2. Identified new functions for structures from the era of socialism in 1945 - 1989).

Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture (http://www.kinosiska.si/en/) where Slovenia Coworking events currently take place on approximately 500 m2 used to be a cinema (Kino Šiška). Built in the socialist era at the beginning of the 1960s the building has been transformed into Centre for Urban Culture in 2008. The Coworking events are organized with the support of the Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture project team. They provide space and the necessary infrastructure needed for coworking: wi-fi, tables, chairs, electricity and PR. Coworkers contribute their knowledge and skills for the promotion of the initiative: making videos, photos and other visual materials as well as digital applications.

    III. SUPPLEMENT

Coworking is all about building of local and regional community of independent professionals / freelancers working mostly in the fields of creative industries and social entrepreneurship. Since the beginning of the innitiative in the middle of January 2012 seven (7) whole day events were organized at Kino Šiska Centre for Urban Culture. People come to Kino Šiška to work independently on their own very varied projects and are invited to spontanously interact with others to exchange knowledge, ideas and to join forces on project work. The upper floor where the weekly Coworking events take place in Kino Šiška is normally used only in the evening, so Coworking brings life to the Centre also during the day. The Coworking Slovenia initiators Eva Perčič and Luka Piškorič are still looking for a permanent coworking space in Ljubljana. The events currently taking place at Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture are just a bridge between the previously non-existing coworking culture and active, rich coworking community gathered around permanent coworking place. In a middle to long term, the Coworking events should take place all over Slovenia.
